Autumnal Rustic

In Somerset, a moth of semi-natural, usually acidic, grasslands.&nbsp; Two main areas of distribution - upland west and south Somerset (Exmoor, Quantocks, Blackdowns) and the Mendips, with smaller populations in the Gordano valley and in the heathy woodland in the far east of the county along the Wiltshire border.

Triple-spotted Clay

Scarce and local in the county, with most - though by no means all - records from acidic upland areas, especially in and around the Quantocks.

A widespread and common moth, though fluctuating in numbers from year to year.&nbsp; Often one of the most common species to light in high summer.
