Dark-barred Twin-spot Carpet

Needs separating with considerable care from Red Twin-spot Carpet, and is much less common than that species and plainly in decline.&nbsp; Most likely to be met with where large areas of semi-natural grassland habitat still exist.<br>

Flame Carpet

Common and widespread in VC5, although absent from the Levels; local in VC6 and absent from substantial areas, notably but not exclusively the Levels, before becoming widespread again north of the Mendips.<br>
