Grey Pine Carpet

Fairly common and widespread, at slightly lower numbers than the Spruce Carpet from which it is hard to distinguish. Flies in two generations.

A northern species of moorland, wooded hillsides and rocky areas. There is a record from the Minehead area in 1961. A pre-1955 record may have been erroneous.&nbsp;

A common moth, occurring throughout the county with the exception of the Levels where the foodplant is largely absent.&nbsp; Flies in two overlapping generations.
