A leaf-miner on alders, separable only with some difficulty from <i>S. glutinosa</i>.&nbsp; Widely distributed but appears to be scarcer than many of the <i>Phyllonorycter</i> species mining alder.&nbsp;&nbsp;

A leaf-miner on alders.&nbsp; Extremely difficult to identify, either via dissection of the adult or a photo of a tenanted larva in the mine.&nbsp; It is likely to be more widespread than shown.
