Chalk Carpet

A moth of calcareous downland, coastal cliffs and post-industrial sites, most commonly reported from the Poldens, Mendips and Avon Gorge, with a scattering of other sites, most notably along the west Somerset coast.<br>

Lead Belle

A gorse-feeder, found on Exmoor, the Quantocks, parts of the Blackdowns and the heathy parts of Mendip; occasional records from Shapwick Heath.<br>

July Belle

&nbsp;A gorse-feeder, locally common around Porlock/Minehead and in the north Quantocks, with more diffuse populations in the south of Exmoor, the Blackdowns and parts of the Mendips.&nbsp; May perhaps be declining in these areas.<br>
