    A moth of hot, species-rich short-turf grassland with plenty of bare ground, with the larvae feeding on wild thyme.  In Somerset it finds its conditions at Brean Down, Sand Point and on calcareous grassland along the southern Mendip scarp.  The records shown for Thurlbear, south of Taunton, are erroneous.
