Common Alder Midget

Widespread, and the commonest of the alder-feeding Phyllonorycters.&nbsp; As well as the native Alnus glutinosa, it has been reared from the non-native Italian Alder Alnus cordata, which is often planted as an amenity tree in urban areas.

Small Birch Midget

A birch-miner, said to prefer seedling birch.&nbsp; Not recorded to date in Somerset away from the Horner Woods/Porlock/Minehead area.
