Rest Harrow

As a resident, the species is confined to a handful of sites on the Kent coast. It may also be a scarce immigrant, which is probably explains the sole county record, at Street, in 2016.

Scarce in sandy, coastal areas,
especially around Berrow and Sand Bay; also on species-rich, rocky grassland
sites with considerable bare ground, such as Hurlstone Point and Crook
Peak.&nbsp; An occasional wanderer elsewhere.

Grass Wave

This species inhabits lowland heathland, moorland and open woodland, where larvae feed on Heather, Heath and Broom.&nbsp; It is sparsely distributed in Britain and is rare and local in the county.&nbsp; Common Wave is a possible confusion species.
