An uncommon and perhaps declining
species of large, semi-natural wooded areas; perhaps unusually for such a
species, appears to be commoner in the north of the county than the south.

Widespread and common, though rarely in great numbers, and the overall numbers recorded seem to be declining.&nbsp; Double-brooded in the county.
