    Scattered across the county, favouring limestone areas, especially the Poldens and around Bath, though is not restricted to this habitat.  It is most often observed by day on the flower-heads of Hogweed, the larval foodplant, and can be reared from the seeds.  It is also said to be attracted to the TIP pheromone lure.
