Common Quaker

Widespread and common, perhaps under-recorded because of its early flight time.&nbsp; The larvae are polyphagous on various tree species - sallow, birch, elm, lime, oak and others.

Clouded Drab

Widespread and common across all the county.&nbsp; A very variable moth.

Blossom Underwing

Local in oak woodland and mature hedgerows. Always rare within the county, now confined to the Blackdowns in the Chard/Ilminster area, and perhaps on the verge of becoming extinct in Somerset. Needs to be distinguished from Common Quaker.
