Neofaculta ericetella

    Heather Grey

    GelechiidaeABH 35.017 B&F 797

A heather moorland species, most frequently reported from the Mendips, Quantocks and Exmoor (and likely to be considerably under-recorded in the latter).  Occasionally wanders to gardens at some distance from moorland; although it has been reported breeding on garden heathers elsewhere in the country, this does not yet appear to be happening in Somerset.  Comes to light, but equally likely to be disturbed during the daytime.
