Buff Long-horn

Fairly common, with records scattered across the county.&nbsp; Recorded through daytime fieldwork, but more often at light, usually sporadically but frequent and occasionally numerous at one moth trap in Timsbury.<br>

Pale Brown Long-horn

"Recorded by the Rev. S. O. Ridley, probably from the Mendips, in 1915.&nbsp; We regard this as rather doubtful as <i>pilella</i> is a northern insect and we can find no notes of its occurrence south of Yorkshire.&nbsp; It can very easily be confused with other members of this genus" (A. R. Hayward (1939), Proceedings of the Somerset Archaeological &amp; Natural History Society).

Fairly common but very patchily distributed.&nbsp; Unlike some of its close relatives, often recorded at light in gardens; also found through daytime fieldwork.<br>
