Common across much of the county
though absent from areas in the far east and west.&nbsp; Frequently recorded at light in ones and
twos, occasionally in considerable numbers.

Bird's Wing

A moth of woodland, scrub and heath that is largely confined to south-east England and the West Midlands. There are two old county records and a more recent one from 2011.

Old Lady

Reported in small numbers every
year, usually at light, despite its reputation for not being attracted to
light.&nbsp; It appears most common north of
the Mendips or south of the Poldens, being scarce or absent from a large
section of central Somerset.
