Rare, and seemingly confined to the far south of the county.&nbsp; The first county record of this essentially south-eastern species was in 2013 so it may be a new colonist.

Light Brown Apple Moth

An adventive species, now widely distributed across the county and extremely common in gardens and urban areas more generally.&nbsp; Much less numerous in the wider countryside.&nbsp; A wide list of hostplants including, but by no means restricted to, scabious, osier, common valerian, broom, fleabane etc.

Orange Pine Tortrix

Patchily distributed, absent from large parts of central Somerset, perhaps in part as its foodplant Scots Pine <i>Pinus sylvestris</i>&nbsp;is rare or absent on the Levels.
