Widespread, although rarely abundant.&nbsp; The larval foodplant is oak, and understandably it is much commoner in the oak-rich south and west of the county, and also along parts of the Wiltshire border.

A scarce moth, being recorded annually in low numbers across most of the county.&nbsp; The larval foodplant is ash, and the effects of ash dieback must pose a threat to this moth.

Present right across the county in low numbers; like many macro-moths, it appears to be more frequently recorded in the south and west.
