Striped Leaf-cutter

Recorded at light and as a leaf-miner on birches.&nbsp; Local, most commonly around Porlock and nearby parts of Exmoor (where it may be under-recorded); scattered records from across the rest of the county.<br>

Currant-shoot Borer

This moth feeds in the shoot-tips of wild currant in the spring and wilted leaves of affected stems give away its presence; it also comes to light.&nbsp; Now a very rare species nationally, larvae were found at Harridge Wood in 2022 and the moth has been found before at nearby Edford Wood.&nbsp; It may occur elsewhere in the nearby area.
