Treble Brown Spot

One of the commoner of the waves, regularly recorded across most of the county.&nbsp; Scarce or absent from inland Exmoor (lack of recording?) and parts of eastern Somerset.

Dotted Border Wave

Always scarce in the county, it has become increasingly rare in recent years and was last seen in the county in 2014 (Porlock).&nbsp; Relatively recent records from the Quantocks, Merriott and Periton.&nbsp; Associated with dry, acidic sites, which are often under-recorded in Somerset, is possible that populations still exist in these areas.

Single-dotted Wave

A reasonably widespread and frequently encountered moth, though in common with many species, numbers have dropped away since 2006, and, in the case of this species, still appear to be declining.
