Alder Lift

The most abundant of the three Heliozela species in the county, quite common where it occurs, yet absent from sizeable areas of the county.&nbsp; Usually recorded as a leaf-mine on alder, though there are occasional records of adults disturbed during the day.

Cherry Lift

This species has recently been split into two distinct species - 'true' A. treitschkiella is now known to be associated with cornelian cherry Cornus mas, and has not been recorded to date in Somerset (in Britain now known only from the London area).&nbsp; The former Somerset records for this species are all now attributable to A. petryi.

Oak Satin Lift

Widely distributed but fairly scarce, and usually recorded as a leaf miner on oaks.
