(1999).&nbsp; Has a similar larval feeding
tube to <i>G. dealbana</i>, but feeds only on poplar <i>Populus</i> spp.

Golden-rod Bell

Associated with goldenrod, a
species of dry, acid soils with a restricted distribution in the county.&nbsp; Long known from the Avon Gorge/Leigh Woods
area, from where it was most recently recorded in 2003.&nbsp; Also, historically, from Cheddar Gorge
(1987), Goblin Combe (1963), Shapwick (1954), Bickenhall (1949), Clevedon and
Portishead (1913).&nbsp; In Somerset, the
foodplant is most frequent in the west, and it is surprising that the moth has
not been recorded there.

Common Cloaked Shoot

Widespread and fairly common.&nbsp; The vast majority of records are of adults at
light, though it can also be recorded from the distinctive larval feeding tubes
on the leaves of (usually) sallow and oak during autumn/winter.

Gypsonoma dealbana

Common Cloaked Tortrix
