    GeometridaeABH 70.17 B&F 1818

A nationally scarce species associated with Oaks, especially large, mature, Oaks, in woodland and hedgerows. It can sometimes be found during the day resting on Oak trunks and branches. The main English population can be found in the New Forest. It has been recorded irregularly in Somerset in small numbers and at scattered locations.  As expected given its foodplant, its most recent records are in and around woodland on Exmoor and the Blackdowns.
