Violet Cosmet

Fairly scarce and local, though as a micro-moth that only
flies by day, it is probably under-recorded.&nbsp;
Most records are from limestone grassland sites, with Thurlbear
Quarrylands, Hellenge Hill and Tucking Mill (Bath) supplying many of them.
Likely to be found on more sites, particularly in the Mendips and Poldens.

Comfrey Ermel

Recorded in Cheddar Wood in 1917 and at the same site in 2000.&nbsp; These are the only county records.&nbsp; It is remarkable that the moth has not been found elsewhere; the foodplant (comfrey) is widespread in the county and there are plenty of superficially similar locations elsewhere in the Mendips.
