most variable species in a genus where individual species tend to be variable.

Silver-barred Bell

A single record, from Combe St
Nicholas in 2013.&nbsp; The species feeds on
fir, and could potentially turn up again practically anywhere.

Crescent Bell

Widespread and fairly common,
especially for an <i>Epinotia</i>.&nbsp; Most
species feeding on birches are more common in the west and scarcer in the east,
but for this species, that appears not to be the case.
