Garden Lance-wing

Fairly widespread and common; unlike many of its less
frequently recorded relatives, it comes to light, which accounts for a good
percentage of the records, but the early stages are fairly frequently
encountered, usually on Hogweed <i>Heracleum spondylium</i> although other
umbellifers are also used.

Scale-tooth Lance-wing

A day-flyer associated with umbellifers, on the wing in
June.&nbsp; Rare and local, but possibly
under-recorded and might repay deliberately targeted searching.&nbsp; To date only known from two sites in the
Horner Woods area of Exmoor, where it was recorded in 1996.

Chalk-hill Lance-wing

A day-flyer in calcareous areas.&nbsp; Unrecorded since Turner (1955), but possibly
overlooked in the county.
