Scarce Dwarf

Very rare - the only recent records are from Hawknest Wood, Porlock, in 1992 and West End Wood, Stourhead (mine on great wood-rush, Luzula sylvatica), in 2023.&nbsp; Historic records from Castle Cary, Batcombe and Leigh Woods.

Red-brindled Dwarf

Widespread and commonly recorded compared with other moths in the family, usually as an adult by day or at light.&nbsp; There are more records from the upland west of the county than is usual amongst the Elachistidae.

Triple-spot Dwarf

Essentially a species of damp habitats and wetlands, seemingly restricted to lowland Somerset.&nbsp; Most records are of adults at light, but the larval mines have been recorded occasionally from Phalaris and Phragmites.
