Certainly a migrant, possibly now
also a resident.&nbsp; Historically a rare
visitor, it has become much commoner since the turn of the century.&nbsp; Other than along the coast, the moth is still
quite rare north of the Poldens.

Round-winged Muslin

A scarce and local wetland
specialist, which rarely seems to wander far from its breeding grounds, which
are intermittently and irregularly surveyed.&nbsp;
Occasionally found in good numbers at Shapwick and Westhay, and this
area appears to hold its strongest population in the county.&nbsp; Also reasonably frequently recorded from the
Gordano Valley, Berrow and Priddy Mineries, and a couple of recent records from
the eastern edge of Taunton suggest there may be another population
establishing in this area.

across the southern two-thirds of the county – south of the Mendips – in small
numbers every year.
