Large Buff Case-bearer

A rare moth of calcareous grassland, the larvae feeding on common rock-rose Helianthemum nummularium.&nbsp; A few records from Worley Hill in 2003-04, where plausibly it still occurs, and a very old record for Leigh Woods. where it may possibly still occur in some of the quarried areas on the Somerset side of the gorge - there is a relatively recent record for the Gloucestershire side.

One vague record - ST45, 1980, by Bristol &amp; District Moth Group.

Ling Case-bearer

Five records - two recent ones to light on the Quantocks and Exmoor, a couple of older ones from Exmoor, and one from 1908 at Leigh Woods.&nbsp; The foodplants are various heathers and the moth is perhaps not uncommon on Exmoor and the Quantocks.
