Buff Rush Case-bearer

Fairly common but patchily distributed.&nbsp; Most records are of adults attracted to light, which require dissection; the species is typically found on nature reserves, but it is recorded occasionally in gardens.&nbsp; The larval cases, on various species of rush, have been found in the county occasionally.<br>

Bugloss Case-bearer

Recorded three times at light at Berrow in 1989, and unrecorded in the county since.<br>

Larch Case-bearer

A fairly common coleophorid, occasionally recorded at light but more often as a larval case on larches.&nbsp; Most larches in Somerset are from plantations on Exmoor, from where we have very few records of the moth - probably because it has never been looked for - but the moth is certainly not restricted to plantations, as it has been found in urban and suburban areas of Bath and Weston-super-Mare.<br>
