White-legged Case-bearer

Widespread across the county and fairly frequently recorded, both at light and as a larval case.&nbsp; The recorded foodplants in Somerset are ground-ivy and marjoram, though in other parts of the country it uses other members of the mint family.<br>

Pale Birch Case-bearer

A moth of uncertain status within the county.&nbsp; A 1992 record to light at Berrow, and two pre-1945 records from Batcombe and Shapwick.&nbsp; The larvae feed on birches and alders, both of which are locally frequent here.<br>

Grey Alder Case-bearer

Fairly common in Somerset and usually recorded as a larval case; although found on other plants nationally, the Somerset records are all from alder or hazel.&nbsp; A concentration of records around Shapwick, and others around Bath and Taunton.<br>
