Just three records of this species, one of several coleophorids whose larvae feed on rushes, and, like its relatives, is likely to be under-recorded.&nbsp; Berrow (1964), Langford Heathfield (1991), Max Bog (2000).

Wood-rush Case-bearer

Just six records of this species, of larval cases on various species of Luzula, from sites as diverse as Dolebury Warren, Shapwick Heath and Ash Priors Common.&nbsp; It is likely to be significantly under-recorded.

Common Rush Case-bearer

Forms a species pair with C. glaucicolella, from which it is only separable with difficulty.&nbsp; The records show it to be fairly common right across the county, but this must understate the picture - glaucicolella/alticolella cases occur in their hundreds in many rushy fields in the county, becoming even more abundant on parts of Exmoor.&nbsp; On the evidence to date, alticolella is slightly the more common and widespread of the two species.
