Only known in Somerset from the 1906 Victoria County
History, which reports the moth from Portishead.

Black-headed Conch

Thinly distributed and fairly scarce across most of the
county, but very frequent along the coast between Sand Bay and Bridgwater.&nbsp; Associated with ragworts, <i>Senecio</i> spp.

Sheep's-bit Conch

Associated with sheep’s bit, <i>Jasione montana</i>, a plant
essentially restricted to Exmoor, especially coastally.&nbsp; Rare and something of an enigma in Somerset;
the Minehead (1998) record presents no problem, but the three records from
Berrow do, as the foodplant does not occur there or nearby.
