Small Chocolate-tip

Turner (1955) considered this species of open, damp,&nbsp; habitats to be very rare, reported from some places in the north of the county many years previously. It inhabits open, damp, places. Since Turner (1955) there has been one record from Bruton in 1965.

Buff-tip

Widespread and common right across the county, though in fluctuating numbers.&nbsp; The larvae are fairly often found - they feed on the foliage of a variety of tree species, oak, birch and sallow being examples.
