Yellow Larch Tortrix

Associated with larches, this moth is local but widespread across the county, recorded in small numbers from woodland, usually to light.&nbsp; It is a very rare visitor to gardens.

Great Tortrix

Rare, if not lost to the county now.&nbsp; Most records are from the Victoria County History (1906) and Turner (1955).&nbsp; Recently from Closworth (1998, 2000), West Luccombe (1999), Crewkerne (2001) and Merryfield (2004, 2005).&nbsp;&nbsp;

Heather Tortrix

Very local and with just six records in the county, recorded from the Chard area and from a small area of Exmoor.&nbsp; It flies by day in spring on moorland, and might perhaps be under-recorded, particularly on Exmoor.
