Gold Rowan Argent

This moth, associated with rowans and whitebeams, always
appears to have been rare in the county.&nbsp;
Recent records come from the central Mendips and around Porlock.

Golden Argent

This is one of the most common and widespread of the family,
coming to light in gardens in small numbers and to light in woodland in
sometimes much larger numbers.&nbsp; It is
also regularly recorded by day.&nbsp; The
larval foodplants are birches and alders.

Sallow Argent

At one time this moth appears to have been widespread, at
least in the centre and south of the county; Turner (1955) gives a number of
localities.&nbsp; The only recent records have
been from Taunton (2013), Bratton (2017) and the Gordano valley (2017).&nbsp; The foodplants – <i>Salix </i>spp. – are still common and widespread.
