Argyresthia pygmaeella

    Sallow Tip Moth

    ArgyresthiidaeABH 20.013 B&F 412

At one time this moth appears to have been widespread, at least in the centre and south of the county; Turner (1955) gives a number of localities.  The only recent records have been from Taunton (2013), Bratton (2017) and the Gordano valley (2017).  The foodplants – Salix spp. – are still common and widespread.
