Possibly extinct, with no record for over a century.&nbsp; Leigh Woods (Victoria County History, 1906)
and Taunton (1913).

Birch Marble

Recorded in small numbers most years, generally from
birch-rich areas in the south and west of the county, and from the Shapwick
area.&nbsp; It may have declined somewhat in
the last century.

Sallow Marble

A local species, particularly in the south of the county –
perhaps surprisingly, as its foodplant, goat willow <i>Salix caprea</i>, is
much more widespread.
