Common and widespread across the county, apart from a distribution gap in inland Exmoor that is as likely to be caused by an absence of recorders as an absence of moths.

Flame Brocade

Formerly resident in East Sussex until the late 19th century, it has become established as resident in Dorset and East Sussex since around 2011. Otherwise, it is an immigrant.&nbsp; There is a county record from Great Breech Wood in 1980.&nbsp;

Deep-brown Dart

Distinctly local in Somerset, with most records from an area in the south of the county between Taunton, Yeovil and the Poldens.&nbsp; It is usually reported only a handful of times each year, but often as several individuals.&nbsp; There are isolated, occasional records outside this area, particularly around Burnham-on-Sea and Frome, possibly suggesting local populations there.
