Dark-streaked Button

A former national rarity, now expanding its range to the north.&nbsp; Taken regularly by A. R. Hayward from Ashlands Coppice, Haselbury Plucknett, 1926-1938 (one of the few locations for it in the country at the time), but not heard from again till turning up in Wells in 2004 and 2006.&nbsp; Since then it has been found more or less annually, thinly distributed across the county but not yet recorded west of Bridgwater/Taunton.

Viburnum Button

Scattered across the county, and relatively common, one of the most frequently recorded species in the genus.

Marsh Button

Only one record, from Bridgwater in 1961.&nbsp; A species of wetlands using Purple Loosestrife <i>Lythrum salicaria</i>&nbsp;as a foodplant, so it is surprising it has not been found more often in the Levels.
